I am a PhD student at the University of Sheffield, following an undergraduate degree in History and Politics, and an MPhil in History at Oxford. My research focuses on the religious lives of women in early nineteenth century Gujarat, India. I explore how these women navigated profound social, cultural, and political shifts through their religious beliefs and identities. My work seeks to uncover how conceptions of womanhood were altered, social boundaries were challenged, and how the stories of these women hold significance in religious practice today.
