As Visual Resources Assistant, Francesca supports all users of the Visual Resources Centre, including students, staff and visiting academics in the Department and History Faculty, and the wider University community. She provides advice and training in accessing digital visual content and the Department's analogue image collections for research and teaching purposes.
Francesca supports colleagues in the History Faculty in providing images for examination, and sources visual content for teaching. She also provides AV support for all teaching in the Department and organises the recording of core lecture series, as well as creating digital course readings and acting as the Department's copyright compliance adviser and CLA licence coordinator.
Francesca has worked on a number of projects to digitise and catalogue historic photographic material. She has previously studied Photography at undergraduate level, and furthered this interest by studying for a Master’s in Photographic History from De Montfort University.
