Roy Foster Irish Government Senior Scholarship in the History and Culture of Ireland
The scholarship is attached to Hertford College, under the aegis of the Foster Professor of Irish History, and is tenable for one year from 1 October 2018.
Preference will be given to candidates who have recently been awarded a postgraduate degree and wish to develop their work further or initiate a new project, but those in the final stages of a postgraduate degree will not be excluded, particularly if they have a special reason to study at Oxford.
The Scholar, who will be a member of the Hertford MCR (Middle Common Room), will receive accommodation, a maintenance grant, appropriate SCR (Senior Common Room) dining rights, and fees where applicable. Limited teaching may be available.
Candidates should send a curriculum vitae, including a programme of intended work, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 14 June 2018. They should also ask two referees to send references to the same email address by the same date.
