The Faculty is delighted to announce that, from 2021, we will be offering a new strand in our MSt/MPhil in History, entitled Women’s, Gender and Queer History!
This strand will offer a Core Course covering approaches to women’s, gender and queer history, and students will be able to take Options from the menu already available, giving them a wide-ranging training in History. This new Strand will join the inter-disciplinary M St in Women’s Studies, which is about to be renamed, and applicants interested in WGQ history will be able to take either route of graduate training in History. This Strand will soon be listed in our offerings, and students will be able to apply from this Autumn onwards, with the course beginning in MT 2021.
About a third of our permanent post-holders list gender amongst their research interests, so this new Strand will bring together and energise a lot of work that is already taking place in our Faculty.
