As part of Oxford’s Ideas Festival, History DPhil students Paula Larsson and Olivia Durand presented their own ‘Uncomfortable Oxford’ tours. Their two-hour tour took the public through various sites in the city and the University, discussing the legacies of colonialism and public history, drawing on their own research into imperial history. The tours proved so popular they were fully booked by the end of the festival. With Faculty member Erica Charters, they plan on expanding public tour opportunities and public engagement training for other History DPhil students.
