The new Oxford Martin Programme on Changing Global Orders is a collaborative project with colleagues in the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) bridging Humanities and Social Science Divisions.
With the world reeling from the ongoing impacts of climate change and international conflict, as well as COVID-19 and its economic consequences, we are in a unique moment to rethink the nature of global order and the institutional pathways of global governance.
Changing Global Orders aims to draw on analysis of the recent past to deliver pathways to more collaborative, cohesive and coordinated institutional responses to future shocks. It will determine what governance frameworks are best able to provide resilient responses to the systemic challenges of shocks that ripple through interconnected global systems.
