Congratulations to Dr Emanuela Vai who has been awarded a UKRI EPSRC Horizon Agile Round 3.0 grant (EP/T022493/1) with an interdisciplinary project entitled ‘Hybrid Relics’ at the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments (University of Oxford). The Bate Collection (Humanities) will be a partner institution on the project, which is led by the University of Nottingham's Dr Alan Chamberlain (Computer Science). The project focuses on secular and sacred musical objects, using the concept of the ‘relic’ to develop and explore new and innovative ways to think about musical instruments, sensorial experiences, social computing, and the design of hybrid products.
