I am a Zimbabwean born academic with a PhD in Africa Studies (History) from the International Studies Group, University of the Free State, South Africa. where I graduated in 2016. I am also a holder of an Honours Degree in Economic History and Master of Arts in African Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe. I have worked as a Researcher with the Rhodes University African Studies Centre and taught various courses in History and Economic History at the University of Zimbabwe and the National University of Lesotho. I am an African Humanities Program Fellow as well as an Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) Fellow. My areas of interest include: urban history, protest history and migration and I have published on political violence, urban history of Zimbabwe and protest music.
Research Interests
I am interested in studying and researching: urban History, gender and the history of male sexual health, social movements, protest and other themes that include urban health systems, race relations and victimhood.
