Gender, sexuality and colonialism in Morocco under the French empire, 1912-1956

My DPhil research examines the impact of the French imperial presence in Morocco in the early 20th century and the intimate aspects of colonial rule. I focus on interracial relationships between European women and Moroccan men, prostitution, and queer identities.
