Research Topic: 'Foreign Agitators' in Britain: Overseas Students and the British Student Movement in the 1960s

Supervisor: Professor Meleisa Ono-George and Ben Jackson

My doctoral thesis is on the experiences of overseas students from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean in Britain, and their participation in the student movement of the 1960s. I am also interested in histories of race, decolonisation, and contested public spaces, and have been variously associated with the Rhodes Trust and the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) in the Netherlands.
