Research Topic
Understanding Inequality - The Development of Wealth Inequality in Pre-Industrial Germany 1300-1850
Supervisor: Professor Stephen Broadberry
I am a first-year DPhil student in Economic and Social History. My research focuses on tracing the historic development of wealth inequality in the German territories of the Holy Roman Empire. I am also interested in the relationship between wealth inequality and demographic shocks such as high-mortality pests and wars.
My studies are funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. I hold an MA in Economics from Bocconi University.
