I am broadly interested in social and religious history of high medieval Europe, particularly the intersection of ideas and authority relationships. My doctoral research, completed in March 2018, established a new model for understanding the religious experiences of ordinary lay people in late twelfth-century England.
I am also a Lecturer in History at Oriel College. Previously, I studied History (B.A.) at Yale University and Medieval History (M.Phil) at the University of Cambridge. See my profile on Academia.edu.
