The Administrator is secretary to the faculty board and its principal committees (there are some 15 principal
committees). As well as all the conventional duties of a committee secretary, the Administrator
provides advice to the Chair of the board and Chairs of other committees on policy, personnel
matters, finance and legislation. The Administrator co-ordinates the business of the various
committees and communications between the faculty board and central bodies of the University. ?he
Administrator also acts as a point of reference for enquiries by academic staff in the faculty.
As Faculty Administrator, he is responsible for the security and running of the building and is responsible for the faculty administrative staff and the management of the various offices of the faculty.
The Administrator is supported by three staff:
Finance Officer:

Lorraine is providing temporary cover for the Faculty as finance officer, working at the faculty on Tuesdays and
Wednesdays, pending the appointment of a full-time Finance Administrator.

Gosha provides secretarial support to the Administrator
and Chair of the Faculty Board. Gosha provides support for committees, and is also responsible for
administration of Faculty membership and visiting academics, academic
leave and co-ordination of the External Advisory Panel meetings and the Disability Working Group.
Board Administrative Assistant:

Marketa works in the afternoons Monday-Friday, providing administrative support to the Board Office, and to the
Research Development Officer, Office as well as having special responsibility for the Board files and its principal
committees.
Faculty Administrative Officer/Admissions and Schools Liaison Administrative Officer:

As Faculty Administrative Officer, Andrea has responsibility for the running of the Faculty
Administrative Office and the management of its staff and the other secretarial support staff.
Andrea has also particular responsibility for support of the Co-ordinator of Undergraduate
Studies, and supervision of all elements of student and course support.
As Admissions and Schools Liaison Administrative Officer, she has responsibility for the Faculty side of
undergraduate admissions, a major part of which is the administration of the History Aptitude Test, and supports
all aspects of the work of the Admissions Officer. She also manages outreach activity (open days, teacher
training days) and supports the Schools liaison Officer. She is secretary to the Admissions Sub-Committee
and the Teacher Liaison Committee.

Faculty Administrative Assistant:
Isabelle Moriceau

Isabelle is responsible for much of the detailed production of the Prelims and Final Honours School examination material, detailed administration of the marking process, the administration of course options, and the co-ordination and production
of the Faculty's undergraduate Handbooks, (five Preliminary Examinations and five Final Hon?ur Schools).
Undergraduate Support Secretary:
Marianna Astrayan

Marianna has delegated responsibility to take a lead in the administration of procedures supporting the Admissions round in Michaelmas Term. She is also responsible for keeping up to date and distributing as required essential information on lectures, seminars, classes, admissions, schools liaison, and overseas study programs, by maintaining programme details on Weblearn for current students, and maintaining and adding to admissions pages on the faculty website. Marianna undertakes some committee servicing, produces termly lecture/seminar lists and maintain and update the Faculty tutorial register.
Undergraduate Office Assistant:

Formally reporting to Andrea Hopkins, but on a day-to-day basis working closely with, and providing support for, Isabelle Moriceau and Marianna Asatryan Candy provides assistance across the range of roles undertaken within the undergraduate office, including admissions and schools liaison, committee servicing, exams, maintaining online course documentation and communications with students. She is also responsible for the administration of lectures and classes feedback questionnaires.
Graduate Administrative Officer:
Hubert Stadler

Hubert is secretary to the Graduate Studies Committee and provides
the usual secretarial support and policy and regulations advice
to the chair of the committee who is the Director of Graduate Studies.
Hubert co-ordinates and administers the progress of every graduate
student of the faculty from application through to the awarding
of the degree. He is the first point of contact for both academic
staff and students on matters relating to graduate studies.
Graduate Office Assistant:

Philippa provides support for the Graduate Officer in all aspects of his work. She is responsible for
advising current graduate students and for the administration of student progression.
Graduate Administrative Assistant:
Susanne Heinrich

Susanne provides support in the Graduate Office in all aspects of its work. She is responsible for advising
prospective graduate students and for the administration of graduate admissions.
Research Development Officer:
Aileen Mooney

Aileen helps to develop research initiatives in the Faculty by
providing support to academics for research grant applications,
identifying sources of research funds and facilitating the setting
up of new research projects and networks, both in the Faculty and
together with other institutions. Aileen is the first point of contact for all
academics wishing to apply for external research funding. She is also secretary
? to the Research Committee.
Personal Assistant to the Regius Professor of History:

Jane provides administrative support to the Regius Professor, Lyndal Roper, assisting her with conferences, publications, and graduate student administration as well as serving as her main point of contact. She also provides support to Faculty Research Centres including MEHRC and the Oxford Centre for Mediaeval History and is Administrator to the Oxford Historical Monographs Committee.
The following part-time staff support specific projects within the Faculty. They are all based in the Faculty building.

Cheryl provides IT support for the graduate students and postholders
of the History Faculty. She has responsibility for the procurement
and management of the Faculty's IT resources, as well as technical
and management responsibility for the Faculty website, and the Virtual
Learning Environment, WebLearn. She also provides advice and support
for externally funded research projects developing digital resources.
Part-time Assistant IT Officer:

Nick assists the IT officer part-time in providing IT support for the History Faculty.
Facilities Officer:
Joseph Lowe

Joseph Lowe is responsible for all aspects of the management of the History Faculty building and its equipment,
including security, the swipe card system, and health and safety. He receives external calls for the Faculty.
He is also responsible for room bookings in the Faculty building.
Secretary to the Carroll Professor in Irish History; and the Chichele Professor of Economic History:

Jules provides part-time secretarial support to the Carroll Professor of Irish History and the Chichele Professor of Economic History. Jules is based at Hertford College. She also has responsibility for the Centre for Early Modern British and Irish History.
