Research Interests

Hannah Smith works on the political culture of the period 1660-1750, and, in particular, that of the British monarchy. She also pursues a strong research interest in early modern pro-woman writers. She is currently at work on a book about the reactions and responses to the emergence of the standing army in Britain.
