Research Interests

I have written widely on regionalism and state formation in nineteenth century Germany, but my current research focuses on international Jewish history, humanitarian philanthropy and religious internationalism.

Supervision Interests

19C European history, particularly international Jewish history; the history of international relations and transnational mobilisations in the long 19th century; the history of Germany c.1800-1870.
