Research Interests

Dr Gauci's interests lie in the social, economic and political development of Britain, 1600 - 1800. His next research project will centre on William Beckford (1709-70), the Jamaican-born lord mayor of London.

Supervision Interests

Dr Gauci has supervised graduates on topics relating to the social, economic and political development of Britain, 1650-1800. As a co-supervisor, he has also advised on transatlantic subjects in the same period.
