Research Interests
Dr Davis works on modern London: initially on the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, but now on the post 1945 period. His recent work has been on race and housing, on anti-motorway protests and on 'failing schools' in the 1960s and 1970s. He has also carried out comparative research recently on London and Berlin, concentrating on squatters and the early women's movement in the two cities.
