Philip Waller's interests are broadly based in late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century British history. He has written about urban developments, politics and culture; he has now finished a book, which has been published by OUP in 2006, about authors' relations with the reading public, 1870-1918. His future research plans involve the study of different aspects of literary life in that period.
Politics, religion, & popular culture in late-nineteenth and early- twentieth century England.
