Research Interests
The intellectual, religious, social and cultural history of late medieval Europe, in particular the German-speaking regions, the Low Countries and Scandinavia; the history of the medieval Church, especially the mendicant orders; East-West relations and the understanding of Islam; the Knights Hospitaller in the later Middle Ages; the history of late medieval German literature.
