Work on a research bid ‘Skill, Knowledge and Learning in the British Economy 1870 – 1992’ in collaboration with the University of Southampton, the University of Glasgow and the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.

I have a particular interest in widening participation, pioneering teaching strategies that use the archive as a way of enthusing students from non-traditional backgrounds and from cultural or ethnic minorities.
