Target audience: final-year undergraduate students who consider applying to graduate master’s programmes in History at Oxford
The meeting will provide a brief introduction to the faculty and its various components, and the resources (libraries, etc.) available in Oxford, and also of the admissions process and our selection criteria. It will also address in some detail the different master’s programmes offered by the Faculty and their objectives. Some 20 minutes will be set aside for an open question and answer session.
After this plenary session there will be opportunity to raise programme-specific questions with some of the programme convenors in the Faculty’s Common Room.
Target audience: master’s students who are about to complete, or have recently completed a relevant master’s programme at Oxford or elsewhere, and are considering to apply for admission to a doctoral programme in the History Faculty at Oxford
The meeting will focus on the research environment and opportunies for Historians at Oxford, and provide advice on the admissions process and our selection criteria, including the expectations the Faculty has of a suitable doctoral research proposal. Some 20 minutes will be set aside for an open question and answer session.
