Admissions news and deadlines
Deadlines for entry in the academic year 2012/2013History Faculty admissions will be governed by the following deadlines in the coming year. Note that your application must be complete in every respect and have arrived in the University Graduate Admissions Office by the deadline. You will have the opportunity to submit your application online (for details see the University's Application Guide), and you should do so if at all possible; if there are exceptional reasons why you cannot use the online form, please contact Graduate Admissions for advice. Friday, 18 November 2011: open for all degree programmes. Friday, 20 January 2012: open for all degree programmes. Friday, 9 March 2012: Master’s and doctoral applicants in Economic and Social History and History of Science and Medicine only (viz., for the M.Sc. or M.Phil. in Economic and Social History, or M.Sc. or M.Phil. in History of Science, Medicine, and Technology, and M.Litt. or D.Phil. applicants planning to work within those specialist fields) may also apply by this later deadline, provided there is still Faculty and college capacity available. Applicants for doctoral research in these areas are expected to indicate clearly how their projects fit both thematically and methodologically into these specialist fields. Prospective applicants should note, though, that they need to apply by the January deadline if they wish to be considered for funding administered through the Faculty (including AHRC, Clarendon, and ESRC awards). Subject-specific guidance for applicantsThe History Faculty’s specific guidance for applicants to its graduate programmes is provided under the following headings:
In conjunction with our subject-specific guidance you should also take account of all the instructions offered alongside the University’s application form. |
