may opt to have half of ther Schedule I Advanced Papers examined
by two 5,000 word essays instead of exam. They will be due at the
Examinations School by noon on Monday of Week 6 of Trinity Term in the year in which the paper is offered for examination.
- The essay titles must be arrived at by consultation between the student and the staff memeber
- The essay titles must be entered onto the examination entry form, which will be issued to the candidates
by their college, and must then be handed back to the college for submission to
Schools, not later than Friday of Fourth Week of Hilary Term of the year in
which the candidate offers a paper for examination.
- Students should send a copy of the completed examination entry form to
the Faculty's Graduate Office for approval by the Chairman of Examiners
for the M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Economic and Social History not later than
Monday of fifth week of Hilary Term in the year in which the paper is being offered for examination.
- Schedule II and any special substitutions
- ESH
students must be assessed according to the rules and practices of the
department delivering the paper. That is, they must be assessed in the
same manner as all other students undertaking the given paper,
irrespective of its level. The Proctors will not accept special
arrangements between course tutors and individual students.
