Foreign Texts

Prescribed Texts:
A paper based on a text or texts in one of the following languages: Classical Greek, Latin, French, German, Italian, Russian. Candidates will be required to comment on passages from the texts, but translations will not be required.

Note: Students are advised that an existing reading knowledge of the language is desirable. Opportunities to begin or improve a language are provided by the University Language Centre, but teaching will not be specifically directed to learning these texts. Individual colleges may be able to offer additional help.
