The Committee for Late Antique and Byzantine Studies have been the recipients of great generosity over the past decades. The philanthropy has allowed LABS at Oxford not only to flourish, but to become the principal centre of excellence for the subject worldwide.
The Committee regularly seeks to raise funds to support its research programmes, to endow departmental and university positions, to make travel awards and to award graduate scholarships and bursaries so that it can attract the most able students from across the world.
There is a range of naming opportunities, in accordance with University practice, for substantial bequests and gifts made to encourage and support learning in this centre of excellence.
